Am I Being Fired?

Today, I got an email from who is essentially my HR supervisor/job title supervisor. It was an appointment for a half hour in the morning a week from today that said “Performance Check In” with no other information. This immediately put me on edge. I work in a major teaching hospital in an at-will state. I emailed back asking if it was a meeting about performance goals and concerns, or of another nature so I can be prepared with questions and concerns to ensure a productive meeting since I was pretty sure I had never had a performance check in before. Am I right to think I'm going to be fired a week from today? I'm off until Monday, they just recently fired someone else after setting up a meeting with them, though it was a different job title and supervisor involved. I can totally see it taking a few days to get the termination paperwork/HR/legal/payroll stuff together before doing it, and honestly I'm freaking out.

Help!!!
