i work as a software engineer for a decently sized company with good profits. most employees have good laptops but i was given an old one that has most keyboard keys that stick, screen hinge has about 4 inches of free play, mouse pad is too small and dingy to be usable, cannot be unplugged from power for more than 10 mins. i argue that i would like to work from my couch sometimes instead of being plugged into a ton of external peripherals, so i need all of those things to work. older management cannot relate to not working at a desk. it most definitely is impacting my work performance but upper management won’t budge. when i quit i will bring that up as one of the reasons.
Edit: 100% of my work is on this laptop. I am a SOFTWARE ENGINEER.
