I was told that they fought to get me the 1.5% as other employees got nothing, and I had the feeling they thought I should be grateful. That doesn't even cover inflation. I almost refused it since I found it more insulting than anything.. give me nothing or something reasonable but that was like a slap in the face.
I just accepted a role for $43,000 more than I earn. When I get the paperwork and I resign I'm sure they'll be surprised. I can't imagine why.. if you pay your employees terribly of course they'll leave. I just can't understand how companies can operate this way and think it's okay.
