I worked for a tool company as a stock person for nearly 2 years, crappy pay, crappy hours, waking up at 2am and getting off usually 4-5hrs after my shift ended with no overtime. I was only keeping this job since I was in a town that was cheap to live in and was just being stupid. After 2years I decided to not quit but move since my job offered transfers and I wanted to be closer to my family. I told my boss and he okd it and contacted the management at my “new” job. I move over 2hours away and then after a week. The day before I was supposed to start I get a call telling me he canceled the transfer and now I'm going to have to commute 2 hours over a snowy mountain pass in a old Carolla, I said fuck that and quit immediately.
I was OK with quitting since I had enough saved up for at least half a year and I immediately went hard into finding a new job. I applied at nearly 300 places and even if I did get the interview I would eventually be turned down. I had no idea why since I was qualified and was one of those that always agreed on the pay and hours. 3 months go by and I finally secure a super nice factory job where I love it
A couple weeks go by and hr at my work ask me about my previous job and what happened there. I tell them the full story and the exact reason I left, turns out my old boss has been telling every company that called him asking about me that I stole thousands in tools and even a fucking trailer? What's the point in doing that? I want going to waste $50 a day in gas and tires to go work for near minimum wage. I'm so fucking happy I got out of that job and I hope to God that everyone there quit. Fuck Jacob and his petty bullshit because he didn't want to lose a single person.
