Honestly I’m beginning to get frustrated with companies. I used to love working with people.
Now I cry myself to sleep most nights from the overload of stress.
Started working work “Company A” in the summer time last year. It was great until they changed managers. Then I was told I wouldn’t be promoted because of the color of my skin and because I’m not family.
It lead to getting in trouble for contacting HR. Being told I’m not allowed to contact HR without approval first. Being scolded for things that were not my fault and being accused of things I didn’t do. Most recently I was accused of not stocking the products after working alone on a super busy night. But when I stood my ground and insisted I did their story changed to it only being a couple things not done.
Google reviews on this company aren’t looking so good. One customer mentioned that they’re racist to me and the other customer mentioned I’m the only one that actually works and is nice.
I ended up getting a second job “Company B” to “transition” to. My intention is to stay with Company A until I’m off the 3 month probation at Company B as I have a child and I just feel having the job security is best given the state of the economy right now.
I told Company A when I was working at my other job, I told them my availability to work at Company A 3 times because before they officialize the schedule they showed it to me and I saw they scheduled me when I’m at my other job. I told them they corrected it in front of me. Then my manager texted me the next day and asked me “what’s your preference for next week” and I replied with the same note I gave them stating my availability and said “these are the days I can work. Any other days I’m already scheduled at my other job” and he has read receipts on so I can see he read it the same day.
Company B makes the schedule 1 month at a time, whereas Company A only makes it 1 week at a time and we only get it 2 days before that week starts. Company A had ample amount of notice to my changes.
Today the schedule was official and the company policy is once it’s up on the app that’s it there’s no changes. And they scheduled me the same day I stated I’m at my other job.
They’re refusing to change it and telling me to find time to show up and close the store.
At this point with all the things they’ve previously done to bully me I feel as if they’re trying to sabotage me.
Told my husband this evening that if they aren’t changing the schedule I’m handing them the key to the store and telling them that I will not be returning. I give 0 craps about the 2 week notice requirement with how I’m being treated. So hopefully I make it through probation with my other job.
