To start, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, I just haven't been able to find a good answer.
I am a 19 year old working in the automotive industry as an “Automotive Car Washer.” There is so much mold inside the car wash, more than I've ever seen in my life (no exaggeration), that I'm a little concerned for my health. I've seen my co-worker attempt to clean it as management told him to do so, but he was never provided with proper chemicals. Management has never attempted any preventative measures to ensure it doesn't come back after it has been cleaned.
I've specifically been wondering why I always feel like shit at work, and I think I've put the puzzle pieces together. IT'S THE MOLD.
I'm not sure who to contact. I've been hesitant to assert my workers' rights myself as I fear retaliation from my employer. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks folks.
