Hi, I applied for a job as an assistant to an investment advisor about 3 weeks ago. I haven't heard back and I have gone in person to drop off my resume and have messaged them on indeed twice. I was getting frustrated and thought that maybe it was because I am a man and the person it was for may want a woman to work for them instead. So I had my GF apply as well, and within 2 days they looked at her application while they haven't even looked at mine yet. Neither of us has any assistance or relevant experience so I don't think it is that. While I understand that this is speculation, I am pretty sure I'm right about this and want to do something about it. Is there anything I can do to use this against them and at least have a fair chance at the job, if not completely blackmail them with it, or should I just report them to indeed and EEOC and move on?
