I work in electronics manufacturing, soldering wires, mounting components etc. Started this job about 2.5 years ago with no prior work in this area. I work full time, 40 hours a week and in my 2.5 years at work i've picked up alot of skills and learnt about many different products that we produce.
Now about 6 months ago a new worker was hired with maybe 15-20 years of experience in the field of soldering and doing what we do at work. So this person got an hourly wage well above mine because of this. Thinking this person would do alot of differnet projects and be a good asset to the team turns out he basically works one line of our biggest clients products.
Now me work that line also but i also do alot of other products because i've learnt how to do them on the job but it bugs the hell out of me that i get paid less yet my workload encompasses so much more then the new hire.
Just wondering what other people think about situations like this?
