So I just got a new job that’s been amazing so far. I mean yeah the people that call in can be assholes but that’s something that just gets turned out.
I’ve had to ask for accommodations due to mental health issues that make it a little more difficult to keep up my focus. My psych hasn’t even gotten the paperwork in and they’ve already gotten that put into my day.
Whereas my last job, fought me when I tried to get the paperwork to them. I was checking with my doctor at least twice a week to see if the paperwork had been sent because the HR bitch “wasn’t receiving” the paperwork.
On top of that, I was fighting the leaves team that basically said that “you’re not suicidal or homicidal enough for us to cover the time off request.” I’ve never felt such a slap in the face as that.
Moral of the story, if you need something that would help you do your job to the best of your ability. Ask for it.
