Right now almost everyone I talk to doesn't seem to care about how working class people are struggling even if they're working class themselves. One of my co workers at work is so dismissive about working class issues even though he is working class. When I tried telling him that people shouldn't be forced back into the office because of gas prices being too high, his response was just go out and buy an EV. Which is such an ignorant thing too say, EV's cost an insane amount of money, have a shorter lifespan, have poor range plus long charge times. The only way its even feasible to own an EV is to own your own property so you can charge your car at home or rent a luxury apartment with EV charging. I don't even know how we're going to be able to make any progress towards fighting for better working conditions when so many of us just don't care about the working class even if we're working class ourselves. It just seems that most of us our focused on finding ways to make enough money so that America's problems don't personally affect us. Things are just going to keep getting worse unless we can find solidarity with each other
