How am I supposed to respond to that?
Boomers are constantly saying “good for you!” if they see me working on a holiday or filling in for a sick staff member when I am at work during an unusual time.
Is it good for me that I'm working on a holiday? Is it good for me that I get a call at 6am stating staff isn't showing up so I have to cancel my day off to come in to work?
Female Boomers also love to comment when they see me cleaning or with a vacuum in hand. “Nice to see a man doing women's work!” I shit you not. They mean it as a compliment.
