Hey all,
I am a 20yrF nursing student who has been trying to find a summer job. I have not had much luck. The only place that has firmly offered me a job is Marine Land (for all non-Canadians Marine Land is like SeaWorld if not a tad bit worse). I love animals and marine life especially and I feel a lot of shame and embarrassment at the fact that I am even thinking about accepting a job at such a bad place. Is it worth it to sacrifice my morals for 3 months in order to continue to pay for my education? Should I just apply to fast food places and accept that fact that I would be making much less money and therefore would be jeopardizing my future? I am going to continue to apply to healthcare jobs and hope for the best. If anyone has any words of wisdom or any encouragement or honestly if anyone just wants to yell at me for considering accepting a job at Marine Land please feel free to do so. I just needed a space to rant. I am so maddened that these are decisions that I have to make. I guess this is also apart of the college experience.
