How to work with gentrification?

I live in the suburbs of Atlanta, and the rich people have rapidly bought up all the property in town and are encroaching my area outside of town. I make $5k over the state average income and live 1 or two paychecks ahead. I pretty much consistently get a $1 raise every year, but an extra $40 a week means very little when my housing cost (rent) is through the roof. I’ve pick up a side job that I go to sometimes after my main job, so now I’m working around 50-55 hours a week. It would be foolish to get a loan to buy a house because the housing market is high as it is and due for a crash. Going to be forced to move to a low income area just to survive, but it would be much further from my main job and daycare would be extensively…

Can anyone give me advice on how to handle this situation?
