Back to adult daycare.

I’ll be going back to adult daycare at the end of the month. The boss reluctantly acquiesced to allow WFH two days a week. He doesn’t understand why people don’t want to spend the time, effort and money on childcare/commuting because “we all did it before”. He thinks everything should and will go back to the way it was pre-pandemic. I don’t understand why, if productivity doesn’t suffer, employers feel the need to force the drones back to the office. Sure, to monitor and control, but it’s deeper. Is it fear? Do we really have power as an organized workforce? There will be pouting at my adult daycare, and I don’t think it will just be the employees.
