With so many people working from home these days, I'm disappointed by the lack of remote options for entry level. I am 28 and would love to be able to work from home. But I don't want one where I'm constantly busy for 8 hours. I know some companies put tracking software on their employees computers and to me this is a huge red flag.
I see other redditors comment how little work they do while working remotely. They will say: “I only do 3 hours of work and get paid for 8. Then I sit around and play video games and watch Netflix rest of the day.” To me, it would seem like a dream job to be able to do that. I currently work as a security guard and my job is pretty low effort. I do about 40 minutes of walking or real work during a 8 hour shift. The rest of the time I'm just sitting down either on my phone, or waiting to go home. I am not so sure what work experience I need since many require a bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience at entry level.
My previous work experience besides my security guard job was I worked at a computer repair shop. Before that, I helped my dad at his store doing cashier and general grunt work. I have about 4 hours to myself in the evening. So I am not opposed to learning a new skill or maybe taking online classes to help me find remote work. What can I do to get these cool low effort remote jobs?
