CO2 sensors not reading high value

I work a factory type of job, canning line at a brewery, and the sensors around my work area aren’t reading properly (stagnated around 10,000 PPM) and apparently our maintenance team was aware of this. Thing is, this isn’t the first time CO2 in the area has been bad. In June of this year, I had inhaled too much and paramedics had to be called to both monitor me and admit me to ER. Back then, we didn’t even have sensors around my area, which actively pushes out CO2, and had one several meters away from any device that does use the gas. They recently moved it to my area and now I know it doesn’t even work properly so what good is that. What do I do here on out?
