This is such a stupid thing which for some reason every workplace puts in.
It completely annoys me as it is similar to the american “how are you” where you answer “I'm good”. A completely redundant thing to say.
Everyone will say “Of course I'm giving 100%” knowing full well they dont. I even had one stupid interviewer tell me she gave 110% today. I was like “Well that is not possible. 100% is the maximum. The only logical conclusion is that you only give 90% the other days” I didnt get the job obviously.
Employers don't seem to understand how percentages work. 100% is maximum, if someone is giving you 100% it means they literally could not be able to squeeze out more. It is the barrier to breaking any moment. Everyone knows that nobody gives 100%, why do people always say shit like this.
Just wanted to rant.
