Turned down a job

I’m turning down an HVAC job because I simply don’t want to put in the longer hours at a job I wouldn’t really like just for more money in the future. It pays the same I am now until I get out of an apprenticeship, but HVAC techs and installers can make loads of money as time goes on in the career. My current job treats us very well and gives a lot of benefits and I’m always out in or near nature (my true passion.) I’m just turning down a career that will bring a lot of money, but will take years and would destroy my body in the process. I feel stupid for doing so but at the same time I don’t.
