It’s a small local place, I expected small management but not for them to be this incompetent. My second week I worked a double then had to close alone without warning, manager told me on text to skip my legally required break but I still took it anyway even though I was alone. Then originally they promised 15 hours minimum in the job listing yet only schedule me 0-13hours normally making only $13/hr + any tips. Barely able to pay all my bills every month.
Next there’s definitely a roach issue somewhere and I’ve seen two roaches, killed both, weeks apart, told the owner and received no reply. I’m terrified I’ll take them home with me.
Then my check for 12/16 was short over $180+, I sent them the hours I logged from when I couldn’t clock in that Thursday like I usually was doing but they didn’t even bother to look and processed my check with only the 10 hours that got logged. I have asked multiple times about my missing money and now I’m being ignored basically. Owner won’t reply or the manager about it. Hoping it’s on my check this Friday..
The last thing is today I looked at the schedule to make sure I wasn’t on it and they scheduled me for two days, I’m out of the state on a trip I told them about at the interview and at least 5+ times over text/in person up until the 16th of this month. It was approved, didn’t know I have to constantly remind them I have time off.
I’m really at the last straw but I don’t have a job lined up and places haven’t been calling me back.
