It's only from 10 dollars an hour to 11, but this post is to prove that you all ARE MAKING A difference. I would have never had the outburst I did when they told me they were making up the difference in tips. And no reddit lawyers, before you waste time writing a book, I proved to myself mathematically is was not only legal but also that we were making 12 dollars an hour.
here is why they made the change:
Before they were paying us the minimum wage plus tips. Then, the minimum wage in my state hit 11. So 10 plus tips is still 12, fuck me right? Haha, I told them I quit. I made a big spectacle, I can't even remember what I Said. All I saw was red. 2 people quit directly after me. To disappoint you all, I went back the next day after the asked me to. They said they couldn't raise my pay, but didn't want to lose me. I have bills to pay, so I said I would work until I found a new job.
Well, to those bitches talking shit about me raising hell over a dollar who got a raise today, fuck you. You definetly don't deserve the extra 100 dollars on your pay check, and enjoy letting companies walk all over you. Even the $13 we are making now is bullshit. But, you're welcome i guess. Anyway, I thank you all. Keep kicking ass
