First time posting here. It's a small local bbq restaurant. Have been there about three years. Have been working less due to college but when I said I had full availability for winter break, they said they might not be able to give me that many shifts. That turned into 0 shifts. Week after week I watched as I got absolutely nothing. I do literally every position they have so they had many options of where to put me. But the brand new high school students (who literally just fuck around and do nothing) got priority and one of the manager's boyfriend works every night shift despite being shit at his job also got priority over me. So did the other students returning from school for winter break. I honestly didn't even realize I was scheduled at first because I hadn't gotten a shift in so long. I'm a hard worker there and I deserve better than that shit. The GM has even stated they don't fire people, they just stop scheduling them so I was under the impression I was fired anyway. Fuck a two weeks notice. They should have known I'm not coming back after they stop scheduling me for four weeks. My shift is Saturday and I'm gonna text the GM tomorrow that I'm not going in. Sure I might be fucking them over but they fucked me over. Idk I'm just pissed af they had the audacity to schedule me after all this. Kinda just wanted to rant but I'm open to hear what others think
