Any help would be appreciated. I have a co-worker who was with our company for at least a decade if not more. While I’m training for a new position she suffered a medical issue that put her in the hospital. She followed procedure and was granted a medical leave. However, while on leave she she was forced to resign. She is now out of the hospital everything is fine and her leave is up on Monday. They have made her reapply to the company. She has lost all her bonuses and tenure, basically starting over as a new employee, even needing to interview. They offered her a crap position with crap hours and she declined due to the hours. Now they want her to come back on Monday after her leave is expired to look for a different position but the whole thing seems super shady to me and wrong af. The fact that she is on a disability leave that they are paying for after forcing her to resign, I feel like they are stringing her along til Monday when she is officially off disability leave to pull some shady crap. I’m not sure if she has any options at this point, that’s why I’m reaching out to you guys for any advice or direction. Pardon my grammar it’s clearly not my thing. I just really want to help a friend, that I feel like is about to be screwed. Thank you all my amazing peeps!
