I have been offered a 0-hour contract (advertised as 20 hours, which I'm uncertain of the legality of?) through an agency to work at a large local factory. The agency has requested I buy my own PPE or buy PPE through them (which is to my understanding illegal in the UK). I'm in need of a job and uncertain how to respond to this. I have contacted ACAS and HSE but is there anything else I can do? Any advice on how to handle this situation is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
