When filling out job applications should I stop putting I’m black?

When I put “I choose not to answer” I get more calls for interviews or if I put white. I also have an ethnic first name but a “regular last name” when I changed my first name I also got calls back instead of using my name at birth. On LinkedIn I removed my profile picture and more companies were interested in looking at my resume.
