I got laid off almost 3 weeks ago and immediately filed for unemployment. This is my first time doing so and it was frustrating enough to navigate through the process and figure out all the requirements and limitations. Now I get a message that the expedited payout during COVID has ended and it will take 8-10 weeks to process!
How is this supposed to help me?
I thought unemployment is supposed to hold one over until they can get another job, but with that long a delay I'll probably have gotten another job by then, but have no assistance during this critical time!
This is total bullshit!
