Typically Im not an “antiwork” complainer but this got to me.
Recently I was in a team building situation where the COO of our company heard me say a weakness of mine is always assuming Im not doing enough and Im not good enough.
4 business hours later Im in his office and he asks me “Do you think you are afraid to admit to yourself that you maybe arent the right person to help our company be successful? I've seen some shifts in the company lately and Im just wondering if you think we should get someone with more experiance and more qualified to handle it. Maybe you cant admit that you dont know how to do it.”
Through all of this he kept telling me that “this isnt negative, so dont take it that way”.
I work in supply chain, the entire globe is having problems.I am the first person to take ownership if i mess up. But the “shifts in the company” are at least 85% caused by other departments i have no control over.
