job hasn’t scheduled the deciding interview for 2 weeks [VENT]

just what the title says. i applied for an assistant manager job that i am qualified for, with a decent salary that will allow me to live comfortably and save money, and has a reasonable commute. i went through 2 interviews, manager shook hands and admitted he was desperate to find someone for the position as he's been overworked. he sincerely wished me good luck on the third interview with the owner, likely within a few days. it's been two weeks. ive remained in contact with the general manager, who is apparently still waiting for the owner to respond. i hate that they're wasting my time, and the turnover is unsettling (the previous hires lasted a few months), but honestly the rest of the job is too good for me to just forget about it. so here i am, jumping through hoops like a good little circus animal. wondering vaguely…
