I've been working for a small company since summer of last year
I busted my ass for this company
I gave up much of my personal life
I sacrificed my physical health for this company
But I produced results!
I turned things around, convinced several customers not to cut and run and stay on
I fired an employee who I know was stealing but only caught her in time card fraud which was enough to get her gone
I hired the best admin assistant who cut many of the company's expenses
I hired a gal who has the best positive attitude and learned everything we threw at her
The entire team got laid off yesterday
Everyone gone the company can't afford to pay our payroll that's due next week
Yet the owner of the company was boasting about having an extra $1000 a few weeks ago and wanted to buy 4ucking speakers so we could play music in the office
I've been seeing emails from several vendors about NSF returned checks
One of my coworkers had his paycheck bounce! Twice!
Now I can't afford to pay my rent or any of my bills and don't know what to do
I hate how transactional employment has seemingly become there's no loyalty to employees and no protection to the employees livelihoods when the business owner 4ucks everything up
It's not that I don't want to work – I do!
Maybe I need to call 800-273-8255 or maybe I skip the call and just go ahead with my plans and 4uck it all
