A thing not talked about in the restuarant industry

We always talk about servers getting bad tips and how it’s hard on them, only getting $2.13/hr in most places, and not only that, when they get stiffed they often have to tip out to a variety of people like the bartender, the hosts, bussers, etc so it ends up costing them money in the long run. But one of the things no one seems to talk about is most places (especially corporate restuarants) require their servers to bring a bank of at least $20 with coins every shift. I’ve always felt this was an unreasonable request. You expect me to set aside some of my money to make sure I can make change to sell your food? No. Are you gonna cover my electric bill when I’m $20 short? Go to hell. Every place I’ve worked as a bartender with a drawer I’ll make change for everyone there just…

Every place I’ve worked as a bartender with a drawer I’ll make change for everyone there just so they’d not have to bring in a bank. Cause I won’t.
