Everyday I am selling 8h of my time to some company. If i had the money, I could buy the time of other people. If i would get 5 million € by tomorrow, I could prevent myself from spending so much time in a company, its not even funny. Sure, that is technically not the same as buying time, but the result is the same. I don't get how people can say “time is the most valuble thing you own” and then proceed to spend thousands upon thousands of hours in a company they don't really like (except of course having to earn a living). Yet when you sit down in the evening and spend 2h reading a book, that is considered “a waste of time”. This saying is equally as BS as the “money can't buy you happines” saying, but I guess that is just how we justify spending mayor parts of our live shoveling money into the pockets people who are already rich. We live in a twisted society…
