Luckily I'm currently in a position where I'm scraping by at my job, if you can call that lucky. I'm trying to find a new job with a higher wage which is proving difficult in and of itself. However while doing so I am getting very frustrated so I've stopped applying when a few things happen.
-
Jobs that don't list pay or salary. There's really no excuse for this. It's a waste of my and the companies time.
-
Jobs that have unnecessary assessments. I'm not going to fill out your 30 question sales survey when I'm applying to be a delivery driver.
-
Jobs that have an obnoxious amount of assessments. I don't have an hour to apply for your position. Unless this is a very high paying job I once again think this is disrespectful to my time. Especially when these questions can be asked in an interview.

And everyone's favorite: Jobs that have you apply and then tell you to go apply on their website where you will have to enter all the info that's already on your resume. I wouldn't mind doing this if I already had an interview with them but it's so unnecessary.
I feel like maybe I'm being a bit whiney but I'm tired of jumping through hoops just to not even receive a response. I really feel like one reason employers struggle to find viable candidates is because anyone professional and qualified knows they should be above having to take some no face brain dead tests while wasting time providing info that is already available.
I'm sure I wouldn't be posting this if I was jobless but it's just how I feel at the moment.
