I live in Canada (bc) and had negotiated a fair wage for my position. When Minimum wage was raised in 2020 my employer decided that instead of raising my wage accordingly (which was about 80cents above minimum wage) they would only increase it 25 cents. I was in a managerial role btw. Also, this decision was never consulted with me and I was not informed until I asked about it after I received my paycheque.
Is this something I could sue the company over?
I’m now in an amazing position with a fantastic company and a great and fair salary, so I don’t have a need to sue, I’m just curious because part of me is still livid haha
