I just received a verbal offer for an aerospace company. I was interviewing for a lead engineer role and the base salary range was posted due to the new pay transparency laws. I just received an email congratulating me and that they would call to discuss the offer when approvals are in. I asked for confirmation on the role since it wasn't listed and the recruiter called to tell me they would like to offer me an entry level position…I have 6 YOE. This is the second time this has happened to me in a few months and I think this is how companies are getting around the new laws. They just change the job position at the offer stage. This needs to be made illegal.
