Since there are hundreds of applicants for many remote jobs on Indeed, I think the platform should automatically pause job postings that reach a certain number of applicants.

That way it doesn't waste the time of applicants and employers, who could be inundated with over 200 applicants for a job. Some job postings have 400 to 800 applicants. That's excessive, to say the least.
