I got a job at chili's while job hunting, you know the billion dollar restaurant chain that could easily supply a few shirts. I'm expected to pay $3 for the schedule app and $5 for shirts other than the freebie i got. So i have one shirt for a week and i use the shitty website instead of the app. This is a temporary job until i can find a decent one.
On another topic I'd love if tipping culture died. My wage is $2.15 an hour so my life depends on tips. It should be illegal to pay under minimum wage no matter the circumstances.
