“Remote is considered.” Not guaranteed. Even though the rep who provided me with the interview and offer told me several times that I’d be working remotely. But on paper it says otherwise.
I seek remote work only because my autoimmune disorder makes it a lot harder to work in office.
When I got my first remote job, I couldn’t imagine returning to the office. But I decided I can manage until training is over, for a better hourly rate.
I’m 2 weeks away from 90 days working in office. Training has been over for two months now. I was told I need to wait 90 days.
Now there is a possibility they might want me to stay in office.
I asked HR to set me up on ADA. This way remote would be an accommodation. I have my medical records ready. It’d be my first time ever doing this.
However, they require me to see my doctor and have my doctor sign paperwork. Getting an appointment with my doctor is so difficult. I’ve been on hold my entire lunch trying to get an appointment and finally hung up to go back to work.
I’ve already used so much of my PTO because of my condition. Now I have to use more to see the doctor.
I didn’t know I’d be fighting this hard to go back to remote. I feel so defeated.
