Was this wrongful termination?

(USA)My wife was fired on Monday by an HR employee who didn’t have the authorization to fire anyone, she was told to cut her acrylic nails off with scissors and got a write up for wearing maternity clothing that is considered business casual the week prior to being terminated, after she refused to cut her nails off and suggested she’ll can just wait for them to fall off and not get them again because they’re expensive and all the other employees get acrylic nails as well the HR lady took her badge and escorted her out of the building without letting anyone else know. I don’t know if it’s company policy or if there is any laws in place for that but a manager HAD to be there for a termination to take place. She works in a call center for a clinic making appointments for patients over the phone…
