Hello people, I'm fuming right now because they want to remove my overtime.
My company has been very flexible in their hours, meaning we can work as little or as much as we want, mostly because the company is corrupt af and management sucks so bad to the point they don't even check people's timecards. One chick made 12k more than me last year even though we make the same $ amount.
So I started making OT too. 58 hours. Not even 3 weeks in and my boss tells me I can only do 45 hours max. Cuz coincidentally the higher ups told him the company's numbers are not great and every dept needs to average max 45 hours a week. It's fkn stupid bc some departments are salaried, others people work very little, and they allowed that chick to work that much ever since she started 2 years ago. Also they pay each other $40k bonuses every year and don't check the credit card spending which is a ridiculous amount every month, including the hire person that orders expensive food every day for the trainees and also buys herself food. Why not order a pizza for the trainees? WHy does it have to be fancy MExican restaurants or sushi places? BTW i already reported this to HR and they didn't care. *Insert 10 other corrupt things I found, reported, and was totally ignored*
What really pisses me off is that they also didn't give me a backup. SO nobody knows how to do my work and I can't never really take vacations (mind you, a measly 5 day PTO regardless of seniority) because the chick that's supposed to cover the (very) little stuff she does know how to do starts crying (I wish I was making it up). The workplace is extremely, horridly toxic and I've suffered bullying and many degrading comments.
So I'M JUST GOING TO KEEP DOING 58 HOURS ANYWAY. Because I was already planning on quitting anyway lol. But what's the worst case they can do know? Fire me?
Sorry, rant over. I just needed the vent
