So this week was my last week at my job, they knew from months before I had to leave around this date. We are paid each 15 days, so on the 15th, i was asked if o rather not get paid that day and wait for Friday so I got everything in one check. I said yeah that's fine, but i was actually thinking that if it's not going to make things complicated for you, this could be my last shift here. My boss, who is also my uncle, got super angry, didn't yelled but ranted for awhile of how unprofessional that request was, and asked me to decide in that very exact moment if I wanted this to be my last shift or until Friday. I literally said to him that I knew there was a lot of work and i might be helpful until Friday. This request also came to mind when the business owner asked me again about the day I was leaving so he was able to make sure there was money in the bank account he uses to deposit the money we then get in the checks. He puts the exact amount or so after someone made fake checks and took money out of his account or something like that. So I thought, well, i can stop working the day I get my last check so they don't make so many adjustments and shit, right? Well, this apparently was an extremely unprofessional request. Is it really? Or my uncle/boss was just being irrational? It really pissed him off, he hasn't talked much to me.
The company was getting trouble either way because they were aware i was leaving but didn't prepared with another employee, nor with the financial adjustments they needed to give me my last pay…
