Im just in my early 30s and I feel like work pressure doubled since I entered the labour market. Everything has to be finished by yesterday – you should be avaliable 24/7. Sick? Well you got a laptop and can work from home!
I think Im getting paid like 50% more than 15 years ago, but my work load has increased by 100%. Im jealous of boomers and xlers that worked in the 70s and 80s and even 90s – before Pcs and Excel and the various programms.
Everything took time – working from home was not really possible and the work load was 1/5 or 1/10 of what it is now. I cant imagine how relaxed office work was compared to now.
