I work at TSA, and apparently clocking in at the hour is not acceptable despite being on time. I come in at 3:58-59 AM, put my jacket up, and clock in at 3:59-4:00. Granted, I can clock in as early as 3:53, but it's also 4 in the morning, which is a grueling start time. After I clock in, I grab a radio and grab my gloves in our training room next door (I keep my specialized gloves out of site so other employees don't take them.) Just after I clocked in, my lead told me I was supposed to be on the floor by 4:00. I told him I still had to grab my equipment before I hit the floor and he told me I was supposed to have all that stuff before. I asked if I was supposed to grab my stuff, clock in, and hit the floor and he said yes. I told him that's not how that works but he insisted that management had asked him to talk to me about it. I told him that's illegal and I wouldn't be doing that (FLSA and whatnot.) About two hours into our shift, the 4:00 shifters are supposed go to a briefing, and our lead only sent one of us. This isn't typically normal as we all typically get tapped to leave.
Cut to a few days later, same guy was running the floor, and I came in and did the same thing. Only this time the lead got everyone tapped out of their positions to go except for me. Instead, he sent me to do trash, which I don't mind but I think he did it as a retaliatory move. 8 also got chewed out by another officer of equal “rank” to me for not being a team player. I go back in a few days and I'm worried I'm going to be targeted. Am I in the wrong or should I stand my ground?
