I find myself wondering if there's a point to trying anymore. Just about every piece of news or post I see (especially on this sub) is just more evidence of how totally fucked we are in the U.S.
I'm about to start a new job after being let go from my old one, and I am as far from excited as I have ever been. Honestly the month I was unemployed was the happiest I've been in the last couple years. Doesn't help that the job I'm starting is another trade job that I'm sick of doing and has no growth or career potential.
I just don't see how things will get better. The deck has been so stacked against us I feel like I'm going to kill myself trying to get ahead only to achieve nothing.
