Well, if any of you saw my previous post about returning to the office and said, “ha! there goes a fool!”
I have wonderful splendid news for you……
After many a toiling day and fretless nights, with the possible response weighing heavy on my mind. I received word.
It came in the middle of the night, via the company email.
From the owners son….
His response was much more tempered and open ended than anticipated.(though I did not anticipate him responding) Gone were set dates and an open offer to negotiate were on the table for my return to the office.
So no…… while the battle is not won and I'm sure there is much more aplenty discussion to be had.
The tone has been plead to be mutually respectful. Which is a far cry from the settings of the opening salvo.
Know that if you make your employer money that you set the tone of the relationship
Do not go quietly into that night! PAY ME first
