Not just me either, but my 4 coworkers were told the same thing about it being permanent. Of course the fine print says “we can totally fuck you if we want lol no consequences for us” but I thought they’d give us a little more time at least.
We have 2 weeks to come back. So I have 2 weeks apparently to buy a car and then commute
I’m not that shocked really, but I am amazed that they are being such cowards about it. They had our HR rep make us reapply for remote, and then deny us with a email of 4 sentences. Really passed the buck there.
Been here for 3 years too. Luckily my immediate manager is also pissed and is on our side since she is pregnant and was totally expecting to work from home from now on as well.
Anyone got any bright ideas to try to get some time back if prolong this?
