Companies corporate message to encourage more women into the workplace, a week later ignores female employee

My partner works for a large housing developer in the UK and anyone in the construction industry would tell you they are quite far behind in equality for women. She takes part in the diversity programme for her company so recently went to local schools to encourage women to consider construction as a career. I heard the presentation pre prepared by corporate that my partner had to relay to these kids. The usual empty promises. Bearing in mind she had already been overlooked for promotions in the past when male co workers with similar levels of experience have got promotions. Fast forward a week and her male counterparts have all been invited to Cheltenham festival for a nice day out ….. None of the female colleagues were invited. How on earth can she encourage women to join the Industry when she herself is subject to open and blatant sexism in…

So fed up of corporate marketing, whether it's equality or environmental, we need to hold these companies accountable for their actions not some BS messages they spit out.
