Just interested to see whether anyone has experienced corporations bothering to take anyone to tribunal for breaking their contract? I see quite a few great empowerment stories here of people taking back control over their lives and standing up for what's right against employers, however has anyone had fallout from this action?
Here in the UK there is a lot of emphasis on working your notice period as per your contract. I currently work for a global corporation who have threatened other colleagues with tribunals if they just walk out. Saying they can recover costs and get financial compensation if they don't work their notice (which is 3 months). But are these empty threats? Personally I think this is bullshit, surely they wouldn't spend legal fees chasing after peanuts from broken employees?
