Boss at new job scheduling a paid mandatory meeting on my day off

The boss at my new job is trying to schedule a mandatory paid meeting and suggested a day that I have off. He was texting about it in a group chat between all the staff. I don’t even want to respond to the text because I’m sick of getting messages from work and being expected to respond to them on my day off or whenever I’m not working. I don’t even know what to do and it’s stressing me out. It’s a minimum wage job that I’ve been enjoying so far but this shit doesn’t even feel worth it to me. All the messages, I mean. Anyway, I’m not going to a mandatory paid meeting on my day off. I wanna tell him this but then it’s gonna end up being on some other person’s day off. I don’t know what to say or do. Any advice? I’m getting stressed…

Any advice? I’m getting stressed over it because I’m not willing to buckle under pressure for a minimum wage (or really ANY wage) job and go in on my day off, even if I am getting paid. I NEED at least 2 or 3 days off in order to stay sane and I’m not going in for more than what I already do.

I also don’t know what to do because I don’t want to be available to work constantly when I’m not working, and by continuing to respond to the messages when the boss makes me feel like I have no choice is getting to me. If it’s such an important topic, shouldn’t he just go into work so we can all discuss it in person?

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I’m stressed over it. Any advice would be really appreciated.
