Im already looking for another job in my area already.After helping my kitchen managers cover their manager shifts as a shift lead, they decided to cut a lot of hours especially mine the week after. They love to give out the excuse that it is “SlOw sEasOn” but want to cut labor instead of food cost and such. And worst yet they just brought someone in for training as a dishwasher. My manager told me that i have 5 shifts already and needed to cut one of my days off for next week. I was truly pissed and upset because my bills aren’t in slow season, THEY ARE DUE EVERY MONTH AND I WILL NOT KEEP THEM BACK BECAUSE OF IT!
Managers and corporate managers can keep their salaries but have to cut all of ours??? And they recently rolled out a new menu instead of looking after their staff. So much for local restaurant and being “Family”
I don’t know what the true idea is of Slow Season but i fucking hate that i may have to struggle for the next couple of months until i can get a better job soon. A dumbass concept that i feel like restaurants created just to justify wage theft
