So, I've recently started my own company because it's gotten so bad.
But everyone I know without a job in tech has been looking for months, applying to hundreds of jobs, and getting few if any responses. When they do, their offers are for significantly less than they were making before. And they have to take them.
Think about that……these are all skilled workers, and while inflation is raging and cost of living is skyrocketing, they having to take paycuts.
Tech is just the canary. You can bet everyone else is not far behind.
This is bad. This is very, very bad.
Speaking of which, someone recently said, “We scheduled a recession so we could lay you off.” Does anyone else get that feeling now too?
