Boycotting modern-slavery production

I recently have been introduced to what goes on behind the scenes of many production/manufacturing walls. Whether it’s: Cobalt Mining in the Congo Diamond Mining in Sierra Leone Smart Phone Assembly in China Clothing Manufacturing Worldwide, Etc. After learning about these horrendous practices of industry in other countries, I want to do more. A lot of consumers in more affluent countries like the U.S. have no clue this goes on, yet at the same time some do know and choose to put a self imposed curtain over it because they like how shiny the diamond is on their wedding ring. The point I’m bringing up is what more can I do to stop this? I know the simple answer is stop buying from them, educate others, etc (all of which I’m currently doing) but is there something more effective? Are there any national companies/activists tackling this I can be aware…
